These are photos taken during the BRIEF sunshine we had in between all the massive rain drops.

A PIECE OF SAAB HISTORY!!!!!!

Peter Backstrom, the curator of the SAAB Car Museum in Trollhattan Sweden, Mike "SaabDude" Szostkiewicz, and Rallying Legend Erik Carlsson in front of Mike's 71 Sonett III.

This is definately my FAVORITE of all the pics taken!! My Dad is the camera operator.

Notice the cool T-shirt in the middle... an "outline" drawing of "URSAAB", the name of the prototype SAAB back in the late 40's...
1972 99E

This immaculate 4 door 1972 Saab 99E belongs to Keith Barden of Orlando.

Can you believe that this was the ONLY 99 that made an appearance??
Row of Sonett III's

This is the total number of Sonett III's represented...all 4 of them.

From left to right: Dave Turner's blue 73, Bob Blumstein's orange 74, Mike "SaabDude" Szostkiewicz's green 71 and Mike Raphael's pristine red 73 (which was featured on the cover of an early 1980's car collector magazine.)
Classic 900's

All lined up waiting for concours judging.

Definately the most abundant car of all the concours categories... there was even one with over 400,000 miles on the odo...

WOW!
1968 Sonett ... with a little something extra!!!

This extra special Sonett belongs to John Plankey, of Largo Florida.

Under the hood he has a 1985 SAAB 900 Turbo 16 valve engine mated to a Camaro transmission ending with a Ford 9 inch rear end.

More of this on the next page...

Congratulations on winning the Walter Kern Award this year!!

Thumbs Up!!!

Tim Morgan of Panama City FL, giving the thumbs up!

The next morning he won a raffle for a set of Ronal rims and Pirelli tires.
Red Ragtop in "Sunny" Florida

Kurt Olson of Panama City showing off his Beautiful Convertible.

Notice the cool Skip Barber SAAB racer in the background... and the Corporate Vintage display cars.
